Hello Ninjas, hope you {are enjoying | have enjoyed} your week-end! I've splitted and modified the Linux Post Installation page so that now there are two pages: * RAC_Attack_-_Oracle_Cluster_Database_at_Home/RAC_Attack_12c/Linux_Post_Installation_No_Internet this is the "DVD ONLY version" that is linked by the original page so that it appears by default, as we agreed * RAC_Attack_-_Oracle_Cluster_Database_at_Home/RAC_Attack_12c/Linux_Post_Installation_With_Internet this is the Internet version that is currently hidden. The internet version still suffers of problems with different network topologies (DNS pushed by the DHCP or not)... My suggestion is that Seth and other Ninjas can modify the latter to work with DOJO. If you're able to set it up correctly before the UKOUG TECH13, we can just change the redirection to the new page, if not, the DVD page will be the easy way. Let me know if I can help further... The OS installation bit still has people enter the IPs of the VMs as DNS servers which breaks internet connectivity if the DHCP does not push it's own DNS server and will prevent people from accessing public-yum. This is not totally urgent, but we should remember to fix this before we print handbooks for UKOUG (still a few weeks to go). cheers bjoern > Thank you for the hint, yum w/ DVD as repository is already covered by the > book, but we have mixed the two configurations (dvd and internet), so it's a > little puzzling for the users. > We are talking about making the DVD solution the ONLY choice during the > install and leave the public yum as an appendix, perhaps. > > I'll start working on these updates to the book ASAP. > I'm really stuffed between C14LV abstracts, a couple of presentations in > October, and my new RACSIG membership, but it will take me less than an hour > so I'll definitely find the time this week. > > Cheers! > > Ludovico Caldara > Consultant > Infrastructure Managed Services > > trivadis AG > Rue Marterey 5 > CH-1005 Lausanne > > Phone +41-58 459 54 54 > Fax +41-21-321 47 01 > Mobile +41-79-909 72 75 > ludovico.caldara@xxxxxxxxxxxx > www.trivadis.com > > Le saviez-vous ?
