Hi

> thanks for a first impression of your Skylla (sounds dangerous;-)
It will probably look dangerous as well, with fat mtb tires :D Yet
another reptile btw, though it's from greek mythology this time.

> Will you use a flevobike pivot?
Yes, I will - I chose this one because it has been used many times
before and so it is proven to work and I know it is easy to take apart
for transportation by train.

> Why don´t you support the suspension against the seat-back?
Well, the seat has its own part of the frame (because I want to use an
Optima Rider carrier) and if I'd support the suspension against that
part of the frame it would either get complicated and ugly (imho) or
the lever arm would be huge, and since I just bought a brand new
(second hand) Fox Float R damper I want to be really careful with the
load I put on the suspension. And apart from that, I think this looks
cool (part of the damper disappears in the frame) and keeps more of a
straight line in the python.

Well I'm planning on putting loads of information into it, trying to
make that site so wealthy of information that you won't need many
other sites for successfully building a site ;) But maybe that's just
naive :)
Some sites you can read for info:
http://www.jjscozzi.com
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/rinard/howibuil.htm
I also recommend buying a book about composites, I bought
"Praktijkhandboek Kunststoffen" from polyservice.nl, but unfortunately
for you it's Dutch... It has both theory and "how-tos" (practical
information) and I also really liked to have information on the
physical properties of carbon fibre and fiberglass, because then I
could calculate approximately how much carbon I needed after I knew
how someone successfully built a fiberglass frame.
