Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: cynthia.meding@xxxxxxxxx To: cynthia.meding@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, March 25, 2008 2:14 PM Subject: Transmission Electron Microscope bid sale 807 From Cindi Meding EASTMAN KODAK COMPANY Is Announcing EQUIPMENT BID SALE # 807 We are offering for bid sale a Transmission Electron Microscope in operational condition. This piece of equipment is located at our Kodak Park facility at Rochester, New York. Per our Standard Surplus Sales Agreement, removal and transportation is the responsibility of the buyer; however, riggers must meet all Kodak requirements regarding safety and insurance liability, prior to starting work. Item: Transmission Electron Microscope in operational condition. Details: FEI/Philips CM12T TEM/STEM S/N D652 Purchased: 1987 Breakdown of equipment Microscope Wide angle TV rate camera Elemental Detection System (EDS) detector & motorized control Longer description: This analytical 120 kV TEM/STEM has been in operation and under maintenance contract from purchase until the end of March 2008. The microscope will be supplied with a standard, single tilt specimen holder that fits the ±60 degree side-entry goniometer stage. The microscope will be supplied with 2 plate cameras and cassettes and a Gatan 673 wide angle TV camera in the 35 mm port. The microscope has an off-axis STEM detector and water lines to permit easy installation of a Gatan bottom mount slow scan CCD camera (not supplied.). The microscope will also be supplied with a working EDAX thin window RTEM EDS detector. This detector has an optimized collimator. It currently has ~180 eV energy resolution and should be serviced before use. We will also supply an RTEM motorized control. This is a very incomplete EDS system (won't work 'as is') but could be updated to a fine working system for much lower cost than a new system. The basic microscope is currently working but is supplied 'as-is'. Purchaser is responsible for dismantlement, shipping, and re-installation. We strongly recommend FEI Service be consulted prior to movement/re-installation.
