Not sure if these were shot using film or not but:

I like to follow what the commercial market is up to, to see what's in
vogue and what's not in terms of shooting style.

Rapha is an English company that is serving to an older generation, say
baby boomers who lived through cycling in the 70's and 80's and they are
trying to hit a nostalgic feel with their clothing, choice of materials and
of course photography.

They use quite a bit of black and white work and I wondered if there
isn't a market in there for this type of thing: shots of long ago Europe of
cyclists that give you the Poulidor and Merckx feel..

Notice how also lots of the shots were shot dead into the sun with flair
etc (surf the rest of the site and in the products section to see more).

Anyhow, I just noticed that and wondered if any others have found other
commercial areas for traditional photography. It's not landscapes or street
photo but it appears to sell.
