Yes, you are right Ryuji.  The suggestion of if containing
formaldehyde was from people using it for colour films.

I haven't used it, but other comments included:

"just because the smell reminded them of it" (i.e.
formaldehyde)

"I originally bought the Mirasol 2000 thinking that it must
contain formaldehyde (in view of everything claimed for it!)
as required for the 3-bath stabilisation purposes, but
reference to the MSDS showed no warnings regarding
formaldehyde, and I decided to play safe with my slides by
adding formaldehyde specifically.I found it easiest to
purchase as a garden pond biocide!"
