The 5-liter batch is good for some sixty or seventy rolls this way. The first ones are contrasty, but after a dozen or so it gets softer and I get those "magic" creamy tones that I'm looking for.
There was a method of getting to this point with a fresh batch of developerby 'seasoning' it. I think the current method is a dash of CD4 color developer.
Richard should be able to shed some light here -- I think the method is/was used in the movie industry where consistent development is key. == Nicholas O.
