Bogdan,

I am not able to tell you how get to Gobi Desert. I know a friend who drove
from Shanghai to Inner Mongolia, but he used his own car. My guess is that you
can hire a car or joining some kind of organized tour or private tour. Just
make sure the price is right before you do anything.

China, especially in big cities, like Beijing and Shanghai, is very expensive.
It is not what used to be.

Regards
Hisun
