Rich,
I tried the Negaflat back when I had my Beseler. As I recall there is a ring
around the bottom of the carrier that might be problematic with the Chromega
resulting in a poor light seal.
To be honest, I didn’t care for it much. It didn’t grip the neg correctly
unless everything was aligned perfectly. Though I think if I worked with it
more I could have been more skilled in using it.
When I started using masking techniques on 4x5 and larger, I had to use glass
carriers and quickly lost my fear of the dust issues brought from my 35mm days.
A can of dust off worked well. I had a lot more freedom with the negative.
For most film bases, I recommend using a piece of anti-Newton glass on the top
(shinny) side of the negative – don’t really need it on the emulsion side.

Subject: [pure-silver] Negaflat 4x5 Negative Holder Question
Hi!
Does anyone use one of these? They are for the Beseler 4x5.
Will this fit the Superchromega 4x5? Or more generally will
Beseler 4x5 holders fit the Omega 4x5?
I ask because I've got lots of Panatomic-X aerial 5 inches by 1000 feet.
It is very thin base. The holder clamps and stretches the negative.
Double glass equals more dust another solution.
Thanks!
Rich
