That is exactly what he needs. Both the 50/2.8 and the 63/2.8 use the same front lens cap, 40.5 mm. There is no rear lens cap since they come in a plastic "bubble" box that has a screw mount exactly as the enlarger. It does not matter if the lens is the newer N version or the older version.

The front lens cap screws on or snaps on, your choice. Both are wonderful quality-wise.

I have both, a 50 and a 63.
