Yes I did mean the FC-1. My fingers were not connected to my brain! I agree with your assessment of Konica SLRs. Mine is in new condition and is beautifully made, but unfortunately useless without the battery holder. I also have a Konica C35 EF3 camera that I find ideal for street photography, shooting from the hip. It has a 35mm f2.8 lens, a shutter as quiet as a Leica, well thought out design and very well made: a joy to use. 
Bob Rosen must be a very unlucky man!

I wonder did you mean the FC-1? These occasionally come up on ebay. You might also find them for even less money as rebadged items but you'll have to google to find these. I find the konica reflexes fascinating cameras from a company that made a lot of cutting edge developments in its time.
