[pure-silver] Re: Konica F1-C

Thank you Mail1. I did as you suggest before contacting the pure-silver list. I
am still waiting to hear from eBay, but hope springs eternal!

Set up an eBay search and eBay will notify you every time a Konica F1-C
comes up.

  OUCH!
I see what you are talking about. That is quite unorthodox, so maybe
checking eBay every week or so for a FC1 even in ugly condition may help

Thank you titrisol for your very helpful reply. The link you gave is most
interesting and a mine of information on Konica cameras. The holder I'm after
is shown on page 13 of the PDF manual and is a small plastic box that holds
four 1.5v button cells. The contacts appear to be at one end of the holder,
but are difficult to see in the camera. I'm sure someone in the Konica
collectors site will be able to help me identify polarity etc, if I'm unable to
get the real thing.

  Thanks again

The battery goes inside a round compartment, which seems similar to the
ones used in many other japanese cameras of the time.

Since you mention a "tray" you may have a motor drive in it, and for that I
do not know, but if it uses AA/AAA baterries you might as well buy a standard
holder in radio shack, duct tape it to the motor driva and weld the ends to the
contacts.
