Last night I went to the opening of John Shimon's and Julie Lindemann's
show "One Million Years is Three Seconds" at the Caestecker Wing for the
Fine Arts at Ripon College, which is in Ripon Wisconsin. It's an
interesting show with about 35 prints from large format negatives.
Here's the brochure descriptive:

"One Million Years Is Three Seconds is an experimental documentary about
creation, order, and the lifelong accumulation of knowledge. The project
makes intuitive connections between the domains of four Wisconsin men
who avoided the homogeneity of American consumer culture. Our
photographs are interspersed with pages torn from he social studies
books of our youth. Twentieth-century technological developments and
cultural and economic standards are questioned through this
contextualiztion. The chaos and complexity of these lives lived appear
at odds with the values and ideals established by the status quo.
Evidence of millions of the small, quietly made choices are manifest in
the men's surroundings and visible in the photographs. These worlds and
pictures were collected during our ongoing visits with the men, and are
presented here as a work in progress."
