HP5+ in 35mm=20 is always on the high side for FB+F for me. The medium and large format=20 behave quite well, though. I think I was at least 10% over-developed on=20 these. I had noticed that the meter in my slr was a bit different in subdued=20 light than my normally trusted incident meter (the one I use for setting = up for film testing) and spent a bit of time today comparing my meters.=20 My two incident meters (old Sekonic L-398 and Sekonic 718) agreed when=20 placed in shadow at the gray card but my metered slr's and Minolta spot=20 meter showed almost an additional =83 stop needed. In bright lit=20 situations all of the meters agreed and the Sekonics also agreed with=20 the other metering with the reflective discs attached and also the 718=20 with the spot attachment. Some casual checking of this over the years=20 had me quite confident that I was getting accurate metering with any of=20 these in any mode but today's more careful check shows I should be less=20 confident. I've sent the spot meter in every 3-4 years for calibration=20 and then used that to check my other meters. Each time, it's come back=20 with no adjustments needed so perhaps I've become too confident...? I'm going to start from scratch on all of this and if I spot anything=20 interesting, I'll report back. Thanks for the responses. ============================================================================================================= To unsubscribe from this list, go to www.freelists.org and logon to your account (the same e-mail address and password you set-up when you subscribed,) and unsubscribe from there.
