OK, a ssssssss of chemistry-ish questions, if I may:
Q1: Does incidental contact between the ferricyanide in Farmers Part A
and Acetic Acid run any risk of liberating the cyanide from the Fe
and thereby creating cyanide gas? By "incidental" I mean in the drains
during tray washing/dumping, etc. It my understanding that even full
strength Acetic doesn't have the muscle to do this. I just want to
double check in the name of safety.
Q2: Other than spending Too Much Money for tray cleaning solution, is there
anything else I can use to get my developer trays white again?
I've tried straight Farmers Part A and (after a good wash) even
ordinary household bleach. These helped but did not fully remove the
stains.
