Ed Lopez back here. The PTR1 pocket does not have fantum power. What you have is plugin power on the PTR1 pocket. The 3 pin conecters have something to step down the power to the proper plugin votes of the PTR1 pocket.

I just had to make up a cable so that I could plug it into a 3.5 mm jack.So it seems as if the ptr2 has phantom power then. -----Original Message----- From: ptr1-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ptr1-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ed Lopez Sent: 02 August 2009 11:53 PM To: ptr1-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Stereo external MicEd Lopez back here. for mikes on the PTR1 pocket, I used the audio Technica822 Mic as well as the mic from core sound. By the way, there is adifference between Fantum power and plug in power. plugin power, is only 6 to 9 votes power. Fantum power is generaly about 24 to 48 votes power and is used on mics that have balanced inputs and use a 3 pin conecter. The audio technica 822 uses a battery for it's power, but it works very well. Also if you are outside, I use the mics from core sound that uses plugin power, so there is no need for a external battery. You can put the mics onyour shurt leaving your hands free. Hope that helps.
