compact flash card

Dear List,
I just purchased a ptr1 a couple months ago from a user, and I haven't done
much with it yet. I would like to be able to record with as much time as
possible, and am told I should purchase a compact flash card. I am very much a
novice, and readily admit that I don't know the first thing about what I'm
buying. I am wondering if I should get a 1 gig, 2 gig or what, and will the
ptr1 support either just fine? Someone had said something or other about maybe
having to buy an adapter. I don't know what they ment, or why I would need to,
or even if I would need to. Radio shack tells me they sell compact flash
cards, and I'm hoping I can get it there. I would very, very much appreciate
your help and guidance.
