I once tried a similar thing with a memory stick adapter and a memory
stick. It didn't work in the PTR1. If you can't use your SD card for
something else, I'd definitely try to return it. Why shouldn't a dealer
take it back, you haven't used it after all and it is still a new card.
For the PTR1, you should use a CompactFlash card, Sandisk CF cards never
let me down.
