Hi Wanda,

it also happened to me: the AC-adaptor plug fits also in the Line-in jack.
please locate the AC-adaptor input, it is at the bottom of the unit at the 
other side of the USB connector.
when the Pocket is powered off, one can also charge the battery by the USB 
cable.
please check it out if the battery is really dead.
