i've seen this too, but it went away when i upgraded
to the latest fldigi.  also remember upgrading hamlib
at the same time.  hope this helps.  (BUT...have yet
to upgrade to v2.10.)  i agree, it did not cause any
problems.

I just checked and the same is reported for the 2.10 version.
As I have a launcher on my desk top I don't normally see the alert.
