Hi Rein, many thanks for the reply. Effectively i'm thinking that this is happened with some users that still don't have a record in the my database. Did you think that the problem is caused from this? I'm sure that in that moment the CPU was very idle and free ram about 300MB of 512. p.s. i'm working to traslate all / or greater part of the pskmail site in italian language, to permit to others italian hams to install a client or a server. Thanks for all. Also the hardware you are using for the server are more than ok... Can you have a look at the CPU load (top) when this happens? It almost looks like a loop somewhere. Does ~GETBEACONS work or is it broken in all cases? Does it happen on users who do not have an entry in the database? The interface between fldigi and pskmail has already been totally rewritten, especially the timing, and I think it will be more stable than version 0.4. I cannot yet release server version 0.5 because I am waiting for a working fldigi from w1hkj which can be used at the server (fldigi AFC does not bring the center freq. back to the sweet spot in 1.37S). If you can give me any pointers with regards to error messages which occur when this happens and what type of account I would be happy. 73, Rein PA0R > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Gesendet: 16.09.07 18:41:45 > An: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Betreff: [pskmail] Server problems with GETBEACONS command > > Hi Rein. > > In the last days, i'm having sometimes problems during some connections. > > When a user send the command "GETBEACONS", sometimes the server goes in > crash and the terminal window of the server close itself. > > This does not happen with all users and it is random. > > Actually the server work on a machine which has RedHat Linux Enterprise > 4 with kernel 2.6, CPU Athlon XP 2800MHz and 512MB RAM. > > Also, i see that often happen when there are many repeats with the user, > and server after an another command seems goes in crash. > > Did you have any idea? > > Best 73, > > Roberto IS0GRB > > > > > -- http://pa0r.blogspirit.com -- No virus found in this incoming message.
