John, The "Sweet Spot" setting was correct. That was what I might have guessed was behind the "blue/locking" part with FLDigi. I changed to 1500 and made sure it would always start with 1500. I took your suggestion and got rid of "reset to carrier" detect and used the "search by passband". It just made more sense. Maybe, I will use "AFC"... I am glad I had freqs.txt mostly right but have a question about it. If you would want to use a "different" mode at a different time (hypothetical example) would it be put right after freqs.txt? I saw someone elses freqs.txt that was displayed that way and just want to confirm and maybe use it that way to true more "sensitive" modes during different times of the day. Otherwise, I have another question about the "default mode" in arq.pm. I just want to understand this. I know by doing the "mode" selection now it will work better for us in the US. If you wanted to start a different mode, THOR22 (maybe more for possible use on 40 or 80), would it need to be necessary to put that in the "default mode" on arq.pm? I know it "switches back to it after a while as its reading the modes in freqs.txt. Is it suggested to do this or leave it? I just would like to understand this a little bit more. Thanks much for the help. 73 Josh, AB9FT ________________________________ From: John Douyere <vk2eta@xxxxxxxxx> To: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, October 20, 2011 9:25 PM Subject: [pskmail] Re: Server 1.4.2 & IC-7200 Hi Josh, Two things I can see in what you describe and sent: 1. In Fldigi there is another place that needs to reflect your 1500Hz audio frequency: in the configuration, tab MISC, sub-tab "Sweet Spot", PSK et al. need to be the same as in the Pskmail sub-tab. Can you confirm that this is the case. Please also note that is don't select reset to carrier I would strongly suggest you set the RSID receive to "search the entire passband". Reason being that without the reset to carrier Fldigi's afc (automatic frequency conrtrol) may take the audio centre frequency way off your 1500Hz on noise and interference and therefore any new RSID may not be listened to (the range is +/- 200Hz I think around the centre frequency unless the flag mentioned above is set). 2. Your freqs.txt file need to be like (starting at the first line of text): 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, 10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500,10146500, PSK250,PSK250,PSK250,PSK250,PSK250, USB,USB,USB,USB,USB, Hope this helps, 73, John
