Hi Marcus,

these days Linux is not any more difficult than OSX or windows.
Actually the new live CD is an ideal way to get acquainted with Linux, you
can
try it without changing your computer in any way.
Just put the CD into your drive and boot...
The live CD will not write to your hard drive unless you tell it to do so.

You will find a lot of elemers here on the mailing list, and also
on our facebook group. When you are comfortable with OSX, which
is based on Linux, you already have a head start :-)

Hi Rein,

I am very interested in hosting a PSKmail server, but have no idea about
Linux. I am comfortable on OSX, get by on Windows systems. Linux? Never had
one and have no Elmer for it. Any suggestions?

PSKmail server installation on a dedicated machine is now easier
than ever with the new Server Live CD. Server is pre-configured,
and starts/restarts fldigi automatically. No HDD necessary,
config fits on a 512 MB SD card. Runs like lightning in
512 MB memory...
Deployment within 5 minutes: Edit your call,
location and smtp server data in the config file
and go...
