Basically, we decided that it was possible the player had the items but left
them in storage during Book 16. Since they wouldn't be with him in Book 16,
they wouldn't have been destroyed there.

I've been rereading the Lone Wolf Grand Master series, and I was looking at the
permitted carry-over special items list for the various books. Can someone
remind me why we decided to add the Dagger of Vashna and Helshezag as permitted
carry-over items in Books 17-20? I always assumed it was a conscious decision
on Joe's part to disallow them in those books, since they're supposed to have
been destroyed in Book 16.
