migrating from vs6.0 to vs2008

Hi,
in my office we plan to migrate some of our projects from Visual c++ 6.0
to Visual c++ 2008. wha i have read so far is vs2008 accessible with
Jaws. but I've got some other questions to:
- can i install VS 6.0 and VS 2008 on the same System (Winxp pro sp3)
without getting in conflicts?
- is it possible to import the 6.0 dsp files into 2008?
i would be happy if anybody with experience in that topic would be able
to anser me.
