Has anyone else noticed in Jaws 9 that with visual web developer it takes the braille sometimes a very long time to refresh when moving around in code and sometimes it doesn't refresh at all? I've had to go back to using Jaws 8 for coding it has gotten so bad. It seems to only happen after a while of use, but shutting down and restarting Jaws doesn't help. Yet when I load Jaws 8 everything is fine. ----- Original Message ----- From: "inthaneelf" <inthaneelf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

huh? there was a set of scripts done, and there is a work in progress on a tutorial for using the ide with screen readers, but I know nothing of an actual ide?second item, no I don't think you need to do either of those any more, I think the current scripts take care of all that, and a secondary note, the scripts seem to be working fairly well with the 2008 versions as well.regards, inthane. Do you know where I can get a copy of this item?Next, I'm not getting the expected results as I navigate the IDE using jaws versions 8 and 9. Are the below instructions given by Will necessary for thelatest versions of jaws?Hi Mike, I would delete both of those, although I would expect you to have more files than that. Here's the list of instructions you need to follow to get JAWS to work with Visual Studio 2005:1. Delete msenv.* from the JAWS settings folder for the particular versionof JAWS that you are using. I've listed the settings folders for a few JAWS versions below, assuming you are using the English version and JAWS was installed to drive C: JAWS 5.00 - c:\jaws50\settings\enu JAWS 5.10 - c:\jaws510\settings\enu JAWS 6.0 - c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\freedom scientific\jaws\6.0\settings\enu JAWS 6.10 - c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\freedom scientific\jaws\6.10\settings\enu JAWS 7.0 - c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\freedom scientific\jaws\7.0\settings\enu (Note: The easiest way to delete these files is by using the search facility that you can run by selecting search from the start menu.) 2. Restart JAWS or your system 3. Load Visual Basic Express 4. Create a new Windows application project by selecting new > project from the file menu, then, once the new project dialog appears, pressing tab, selecting windows application by using the cursor keys, and finally pressing enter. 4. Once the new project has loaded, you need to ensure that focus is in the code editor, and you can do this by selecting code from the view menu. 5. Press insert/caps lock, depending on which keyboard scheme you are using with JAWS, and 7 on the numeric line above the alphabetic keys. 6. If you are using JAWS 6.0 or above, when the dialog appears informing you that you are about to create a new configuration, press enter on the OK button. 7. Once the window reclassification dialog appears, press tab and selectmultiline edit from the list of available window classes. Finally, pressenter and you should have just set up JAWS for use with Visual Studio/Visual Basic Express.
