Your copy could have become corrupted. That's a worse case possibility though. My suggestion would be to save all useful stuff you've done with visual studio first to another location, then delete the entire projects folder tree from where visual studio keeps its data then try starting up again. Expect an error and hit space when this happens and you should get the original startup back. If that doesn't work, it's not your data that's got the problem and likely visual studio will need to be reinstalled. I've been trying to get this going. I haven't seen an error posted on google or something similar. I'm leaving on a trip sunday and would like my IDE for something to do. I've also done the resetuserdata and it shows the choose your language, but it won't show the window after that. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tyler Littlefield <mailto:tyler@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: program-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, July 24, 2009 10:46 AM Subject: help with visual studio Hello list, When I try to start up Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, it loads devenv.exe, but it's not showing a window. Any ideas on what may be causing the issue? I don't see anything in event log, is there an error log somewhere possibly? __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
