elements of the context menu for links

Hi,
In Internet Explorer if I right-click on a link it opens a context menu.
Do you know if the elements of those menus are somehow stored in the
Registry like in the case of the elements of the context menus in Windows
Explorer for files?
What I want to do is to add a context menu item so when the user chooses
that menu item, a certain program is executed with the URL of that link as a
parameter.
