Nick, I appreciate your feedback on this question. I have recently started having to create a number of PowerPoint presentations and will try out the Word import practice you describe. -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Nick.Adamson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, July 09, 2008 3:03 AM To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: creating a power point presentation Hi. I generally only create basic presentations based on a template our company uses. I write the text in word. Each line has to be a heading style. Heading level 1 tells PowerPoint to use a new slide. The headings from 2 on would indent the bullet points. Remember that you can turn the auto numbering off but still have the heading style in word. I save that as an RTF file. Then in PowerPoint I open up the template and select "insert slides from outline" option from the insert menu. This puts the text in and then I do any formatting or changes I need to make in PowerPoint. You can put all the animation stuff in if you want but on the presentations course I went on they discouraged that as it can be visually distracting to the audience. Hope this helps. Nick. -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of shuang shuang Sent: 09 July 2008 02:42 To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: creating a power point presentation hi all, i need some help to create a power point presentation. i use power point before, but i haven't have the chance to create one yet. i need to create an urgen lecture prresentation for my teaching class. may i know, how to create a power point from a blind / jaws user prospective and what is the most easiest way to create one? your help is most appreciated. thanks Joanne __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind This email and any files attached are intended for the addressee and may contain information of a confidential nature.
