RE: creating a power point presentation

Hi.

I generally only create basic presentations based on a template our
company uses. I write the text in word. Each line has to be a heading
style. Heading level 1 tells PowerPoint to use a new slide. The headings
from 2 on would indent the bullet points. Remember that you can turn the
auto numbering off but still have the heading style in word.
I save that as an RTF file.
Then in PowerPoint I open up the template and select "insert slides from
outline" option from the insert menu.
This puts the text in and then I do any formatting or changes I need to
make in PowerPoint. You can put all the animation stuff in if you want
but on the presentations course I went on they discouraged that as it
can be visually distracting to the audience.

Hope this helps.
Nick.
