Hi Jim,

Yes, I do use gvim with a minimal JAWS script I wrote, and no, it doesn't do that -- JAWS knows it's gvim no matter if you open new files -- the same script is still active. One problem only is that since I make use of the gvim OLE interface inside the JAWS script I can't open more than one gvim instances. Well you can open many gvim instances but the JAWS script will look at the first one you opened since that's where the OLE linkup happened.

The way around this is simply opening multiple files in one gvim instance, which is what you want to do 90% of the time anyways. If I get the time some day I'll add the script with instructions to NVD but can't say when that will be since a lot of work has to be done to explain things else it will be useless and people will only get irritated and miss the point, and miss out :-)

Keep well,
Kerneels

Hi Kerneels,

Are you using Vim in Windows? I assume you are, since I thought you said you were using it with JAWS. If so, I thought I remembered that when you work with multiple files that the application that JAWS thinks it sees changes every time you open a new file.

Thanks.

Jim
