The only potential issue I have with it is that nonprofessional programmers 
will be discriminated against because of the professional nature of the other 
list.  The way you guys are making it out to be, it's no nonprofessionals 
aloud.  I'm staying no matter what happens though.

Hi.

I'm a little confused.
There seems to be some really strong feelings on merging the two lists.
I'm on both lists so don't have a problem with there being two but I also don't 
see a problem with merging them. It'll save the cross postings and make a 
bigger pool of people to ask and answer questions.

Could someone explain why the strong feelings against the merge.
Take the question over the lack of consultation away, That does seem a bit odd 
in this case, but there seems to be a lot of "old hands" against the move.

        A great suggestion was made by Jamal Mazrui and after consultation with 
George Bell and others we will be moving the ProgrammingBlind list into 
Program-L, thus only having one programming list for the blind.

         

        This will take place in the next couple of weeks and I will keep 
everyone up-to-date on what steps will be taking place after consulting with 
FreeLists management.
