I have the Asus and have done some degree of development work on it. I have the 2GB memory card but haven't installed it as yet. Expect to see some performance improvement from that. Can't complain about the Asus. It is a little slower but taking into consideration I usually have skype, e-mail, and Jamal's McTwit running on it at the same time, it does pretty good. -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Hallsworth Sent: Wednesday, July 08, 2009 1:47 AM To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Developing with a netbook I'm sure that if the Netbook was upgraded to 2GB of RAM you should be fine programming. I'd be interested too just in case I need to get one. -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx MSN: ch9675@xxxxxxxxxxx Skype: chrishallsworth7266 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sauro Cesaretti" <saurocesaretti1983@xxxxxxxxx> To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, July 08, 2009 7:42 AM Subject: Developing with a netbook > Hi all, > > I'm planning to buy a new netbook and I was thinking to use it to develop > once in a while. > I'd like to ask you if you ever tried to install vs.net 2005/2008 in a > netbook and if you think that it'll be acceptable to write small > applications. > Until now I've only used the eepc 801, the first model of eeepc but in > that > case it'll be really hard to install an environment like vs.net. > What about the new models? > What could you suggest? > Thanks in advance for your advices. > Regards, Sauro > > __________ > View the list's information and change your settings at > //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind > __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
