its written by Justin dobbamire, who is a blind programmer, and is totally accessible, it was especially written for us in fact, smile.
it's done in VB6 so I am glad to see him working on a new version, hate to lose a good program to OS death.
I've been using it for about 6 years or so and had next to nothing to complain about. in fact many of the suggestions that I made a while back to him are being included in the new version.
hope it satisfies the need, elf proprietor, The Grab Bag, for blind computer users and programmers http://grabbag.alacorncomputer.com Owner: Alacorn Computer Enterprises "own the might and majesty of a Alacorn!" custom made computers and peripherals to fit your needs! www.alacorncomputer.com----- Original Message ----- From: "RicksPlace" <ofbgmail@xxxxxxxxx>

Sorry Inthane, I missed your post on the Day By Day planner. I will take a look at it. It sounds like what I was thinking of building but why reinvent the wheel. How have you found it from an accessibility standpoint? Does it use images and icons or is it text based?Rick USA----- Original Message ----- From: "RicksPlace" <ofbgmail@xxxxxxxxx>To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 30, 2010 5:08 PM Subject: Re: Accessible CalendarsHi Guys: Nothing really fits the bill for me. I would guess that using a combination of a DatePicker and custom UI based on the System.DateTime Structure and a DataBase would be the best bet. I am mulling over the benefits of coding that puppy up in either a Webpage or as a Desk-Top app. I just now keep that kind of data in text files in a Windows folder and, hay, it works but is pretty clunky to use.Oh well, it is what it is. Thanks again and later. For example: I have a meeting the first Wensday of next month. So, I want to look up that date. Also, I have a dental appointment on a specific date and would like to know the day it falls on. Is there a site out there where this can be looked up easily? If not, do you know off hand if the ASP Calendar control allows for this level of customization to your knowledge?I took a look at the VB.net Calendar but did not see the days represented as far as I could see in the properties for that particular control and thought there might already be something out there so thought I'd ask.
