Feature 2 Speak: Break Point
How to activate: Place cursor at beginning of line of code in code editor. Use
key stroke CTRL + SHIFT + the letter B.
Comments: Apparently the line that has the break point is high lighted in RED
and some sort of other visual clue is visible on the left hand margin of the
screen. I would like to have a particular sound played as a person scrolls over
that given line. I would prefer the sound over a text message because the lines
of code are spoken as I navigate and it would be cumbersome.

Hi Jim,
When you get time, can you sit down and do this for me? Can you make a list
that looks something like this?
Feature to speak: name of feature.
How to activate it: instructions.
Notes: anything special, like what would annoy you if I made JAWS do it.
My reason for asking is that I am just now getting past hello world. So I
wouldn't have encountered much yet in the way of features to activate. I just
installed Eclipse about a week ago.
I'm pretty sure that I will be on some sort of Java certification path, though,
so any information about what to learn would be good. I've gathered up a few
web links so far. Fortunately, here, they have a subscription to Safari, which
has books in HTML format. I saw an SCJP book, but not an SCJA book. Then
there's also the Java Tutorial, which is huge. But narrowing this down would be
really nice. So far I have called Oracle asking for accessibility information
about training and the exams, but no positive response yet.
Thanks.

Jim:
Most certainly I would like additional things announced in the editor. ...e.g.
Break Points, lines automatically spoken when stepping through while debugging,
lines announced automatically when focus is brought to them with keystrokes.
E.g. CTRL + SHIFT Up Arrow brings the focus to the declaration of a method. A
means to close the Welcome window with out searching around the window for a
close option...

Hi,
I was asking because I'm building a JAWS speech and sounds scheme, but I want
it to use the Eclipse defaults, because that's the only thing I can depend on
everyone using.
Is anyone interested in hearing JAWS say different things for the various
colors like break point for the break point color, for example? Do you want to
work with me to test a sound scheme? I have one that I created for another
editor that plays piano notes at various indentation levels. What would you
like JAWS to help you with for Eclipse that would make your coding easier.
Please keep in mind that I'm just about totally new to Java, so I might not
understand some things you are talking about. I can also do JAWS scripts if
that's needed.
Thanks.

It's four.... You can check / set this value under /Windows/Preferences.
However, once this is set, it only applies to that particular workspace.

Hi,
Does anyone know how many spaces wide a tab is in a Java program in Eclipse?
For example, is it 3 spaces, 4 spaces, or what?
Thanks.

I am having a brain fog. What is the keystroke to make my edit screen full
screen?
