Maybe someone else already asked you this in similar way. It would be
interesting to have the powerdot clock feature available with other
LaTeX
et all classes. The MikTeX package already have a clock.sty, but it is
still 'still-image' of the time when compilation runs...
..it would be pleasant to have the clock powerdot feature working with
classes like beamer, prosper, powersem, slides, or even a myself-edited
class. Of course, you may think that your class should turn unused,
but it
is a great feature to be present only in powerdot, so, please, consider
sharing it with everyone! Remember: I have a dream that one day all
packages in LaTeX et al, will have a similar structure somewhat like the
geometry package: it runs with all .cls classes; incorporates its
features
without the hindrance of the ones of the class loaded! A little
advantage
would be, perhaps, that if one merely wants to use the full features of,
e.g., powerdot, it would be done simply using the .cls version of that
package. Conversely, if only some features are required, it would be
possible to load that together any other class, mimicking a specific
feature of powerdot, like, e.g., clock! Is that idea to hard to embrace?
