Anybody still around on this list?

I have a question about a Zyxel P-660HW-D1 modem with bilt-in
router. My Actiontec GT724 stopped working so I got this
Zyxel from my ISP.

When I was using the Actiontec, I had to open ports I wanted
to use other than the normally opened ones, 80, 25, 110 etc.
For example, an audio stream I listen to uses port 8000 and I
had to go to port forwarding to open that port. With this
Zyxel, all ports I use work without doing anything, so far,
port 13, 8000, 2199 and a few others.

Does this mean that the Actiontec was more secure than this
Zyxel?

The Zyxel also does not give me the option of changing the
password into the router either by ethernet cable or wireless.

I think I might buy another one.

Thanks,

Tom
