I'm a big fan of system restore, and I've used it to bail out more than 
one person. I suggest you just leave it alone, after adjusting the 
amount of space it uses.
If you need more space, get a bigger drive. They are seriously cheap 
nowadays (500 GB, about $100.00).
For those who want one of the very best backup solutions (That should be 
all of us), get an external drive and Acronis True Image.
