Unfortunately Dale, this is one of those many issues with Windows that 
probably have no explanation.

But there are a few things you can possibly try, but first; what exactly 
is happening when you close IE the previous time?  Are you simply 
shutting it down and nothing odd happens?  Or are you getting some kind 
of error or crash?  Does it happen at a wide variety of webpages or is 
there a commonalty with them, like maybe some kind of embedded media or 
obvious JavaScript of some kind, etc.?  With that info I could then go a 
bit farther.

I'm not doing anything unusual with IE, so what's it complaining about?
Why would it close unexpectedly (I ALT-F4 - is that a crime now?)
