Hi group. I wanted to tell all the members to never be afraid
or shy to post your questions here! No question is too small,
and you'll never be chastised for posting a "dumb" question,
there are no dumb questions. We were all newbies at one time
and had to ask a question or two that experts thought may be
"dumb", but not here. So post away, you'll never be ridiculed
for asking a question about our topics. (If you ARE, myself or
Hugh or Wally will put them on mod status). ;-)

When we first made the list change, our list was on page 13 of
the "Support and Help" section. Now it's moved to page 8,
//www.freelists.org/cat/20/8 .  I'd say that's a pretty
good jump for such a new list. This ranking is based upon list
traffic, and how many of the members post. Of all the members
we have, only a handful seem to ever post! So please, post
away and let's see if we can get the list more exposure. Not
just questions, if any of you have had a computer experience
that would benefit the group, then please feel free to post
that as well. Like a problem with your PC or software you came
across and fixed it without ever having to post it, posts like
that are helpful as well.

Remember, it's not just a "help" list but an information list
too.

I created a webpage for the list, (still working on it as time
allows), and someone, I have no idea WHO*, redirected the old
PCworks website http://pcworkers.com/ to the page I created.
If one searches for: Computer Help Email list in Google
and Yahoo, that page or the page I created now shows at the #1
top spot, can't beat that (#1 out of 138,000,000 in G and #1
out of 496,000,000 hits in Y). And of course if anyone
searches for 'PCworks' that page will also show first in G, so
that will help get the members back we lost in the move. (It's
on the 2nd page in Y because they haven't updated their cache).
BTW, Hugh made the logo on that page and I'll be working on a
text logo for the name. *I'll be posting something separate on
that*.

I welcome any suggestions from anyone, you can send them to
pcworks-admins@xxxxxxxxxxxxx , and again, post away! :-)
-Clint
