Hi,

It appears I may be having some "old modem" issues. I use a Motorolla
SB4200. When I called cox cable for tech support because I could not go
online, they did not see my modem at all and told me it is old, you need a
new one..It did work for me though 15 minutes later and has done this a few
times intermittently. They recommended motorolla 5101.

I wondered if I should just bite the bullet and get a new one, they offer a
new one to me for $49.00, they say cheaper than buying it elsewhere. Is
anyone using a Motorolla on here with advise? Also how do I test my modem
speed to compare if I get a new one. Will a new one give me more speed?

thanks,
Christy
