Is there a freebie program that will burn an image like that as I want to do 
that for my new laptop.

Steve,
    Consider diving deeper into that 'techie' world by making yourself an
image of the drive in its current state before going much further.  If
anything should go wrong, you'll be able to revert back to the image and
pick right back up where you are right now instead of having to go through a
full reinstall again.  If you do this, I'll be happy to dub you a half-baked
techie.         ;)
