-=PCTechTalk=- Windows updates question

I have had this new XP Home-SP2 pc for about a week. When I checked for
updates, it said there were 24 (!) updates. I was just at the Microsoft web
site checking again. I looked at what was already installed. There were lots
with the green icon which was good, there were none that failed (red icon),
but there were many with a gray icon which says cancelled.

Hmm. I don't remember canceling any, but should I install all these that
appear to pertain to XP? We have had many days of sporadic internet connect
problems due to weather, we lose Cable TV and Cable Modem service a lot at
this time of the year. I was thinking that maybe during the download and
installation of some of these, we lost connectivity. Would that account for
the 'cancelled' updates?

Again, heartfelt TIA's

Sammi
