Nightsneak, I know some of the UK ISP's do not allow you to send emails from your PC unless you are directly connected to their servers when you log onto the net. I had that when I tried to send emails etc from one, when connected via another. I could always receive, but not send. But as I have never used them I can't say for sure. Outgoing mail (SMTP) smtp.ukonline.co.uk Incoming mail (POP3) pop3.ukonline.co.uk DNS servers set as 'Server Assigned' That is the settings they have on their site. hope it helps you a little, Trevnal ----- Original Message ----- From: "nightsneak" <nightsneak@xxxxxxx> To: <pctechTalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, August 02, 2003 5:55 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- ukonline email help? Can anyone that uses a ukonline email address tell me what the smtp setting should be in OE to send email? I had ANOTHER hard drive blow out, and I am using an very old hard drive until the new one comes in. I didn't have my ukonline accounts set up on here before, and for some reason, I can receive email using the pop3.ukonline.co.uk, but I cannot send mail using smtp.ukonline.co.uk Everywhere I have checked, says that should be the correct one............ nightsneak To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
