XP uses your password for your username as the pw for the screensaver. = If you don't have a pw set up for your username, go to My Computer, right click, go to Manage and then Users and right click on your username to change the pw or add one. It isn't like old Win98 bogus pw protection = for the screensaver. It's real grownup security that you can't just bypass = by restarting. Hope this helps.
