If so, click START and click the little icon on top representing your identity. Then click HOME on top. Then highlight the user name you want to delete, and hit delete. I believe you can do it this way on XP Home. ========================== Sir Troth ICQ: 1717439 AIM/AOL: SirTrothX Yahoo Messenger: SirTroth MSN: SirTroth@xxxxxxxxxxx ========================== -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Cris Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 2005 11:28 AM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: removing identity on xp I have -event viewer application security system -Shared Folders shares sessuibs open files -Performance Logs & alerts Device manager no local users and groups... on either computer. it's xp home.... Right-click on MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE. Go to LOCAL USERS AND GROUPS > USERS and delete his name/identity. Then, also delete c:\documents and settings\username. ========================== Sir Troth ICQ: 1717439 AIM/AOL: SirTrothX Yahoo Messenger: SirTroth MSN: SirTroth@xxxxxxxxxxx ========================== -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Cris Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 2005 10:50 AM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- removing identity on xp my old computer has 3 identities on it. They all have administrator rights. I want to remove my son's identity, as he no longer uses that computer. He did install some programs through his identity though. Will I have problems if I remove his identity? He has active programs like outlook express on his name. Plus, the *&^% child of mine has his name password protected. I am assuming I can get him to unpassword protect his name. what about the other stuff? and exactly how do I remove his identity? thanks! cris <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> PLEASE: STOP E-MAIL HARVESTING Protect your friends and family: Do not give my e-mail address to any person or web site.
