yep--put all lines together if you can on one box and put the filter between that one box and the phone jack. That's what I did. all phone cords are going to one phone cord with multipul hook ups and the filter is between that and the outlet. One filter takes care of 4 phone lines..works fine. ----- Original Message ----- From: "DO1212SK" <do1212sk@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2007 8:37 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: pctechtalk Digest V5 #134 Oh, I get it now... The fax machine will require the same type of filter on the DSL line that I have for my PC. So connect it either past the PC's filter, or else put another DSL filter on it if I use the straight phone line... And since the filter is right at the phone's input box, it makes sense for me to put my splitter just past it so I can use one filter for the same purpose.. And yes, I have DSL already. It's the FAX I'm contemplating adding on. One of my printers is also a scanner and copier, but has no fax option.
