From my experience, it is +easy+ to import email from Outlook Express into
Outlook. Besides being more stable and closing some loopholes that make it
easier for outsiders to access it (Supposedly, it is easy for outsiders to
'hack' Outlook Express because so many people have it. The full blown
Outlook offers more protection. When I had it the full Outlook version, it
was not allowing me auto-delete the automatic responders. For that reason,
I chose Eudora Pro, and +stopped+ using my email client's address book.
(Then if I get a virus that needs the address book to work, it is stopped
at my computer.)

I will say this: we had a customer come to us with a hard drive smaller
than she needed. Instead of upgrading to a larger hard drive, she asked us
to delete her full blown Outlook, install Outlook Express, and export from
full Outlook to Outlook Express. That is not easily done. What we ended up
doing was:
1. Download and install Poco Mail.
2. Export mail from the full Outlook to Poco.
3. Delete the full Outlook.
4. Install Outlook Express.
5. Export from Poco to Outlook Express.
6. Delete Poco mail.

She was as happy as could be.

Other people will disagree, but I thought the full version of Outlook was
buggy. It really boils down to: "What kind of email do you want to send?
High volume, a lot of HTML, etc. At the store, we were high volume; I guess
we received close to 7,300 daily.

There used to be a web site called: "Which Email Client do I Really Want?"
where several email programs were compared. You could pick which one was
best for you by looking at it. I guess it is no longer there- I checked and
can't find it.

Am I even helping? Doesn't look like it.
