Jeff--this is a copy of the post I think you're talking about: Lionel--to get rid of password request: go to control panel, click on Network. In the box that pops up there is a configuration tab. Around the middle of that page it says "Primary Network Logon" and there is a drop-down list. It probably says Client for Microsoft Networks; you should choose the one that says Windows Logon. Then click ok and reboot, the password request should be gone.--Glo P.S.
