Make that two opinions. It also behaves better for LAN gaming. Throw in
the excellent content blocking and you have (very close to) a one stop
solution.

On 8/18/2003 at 6:54 AM a whisper was heard, and the one known as David
Weaver was rumoured to have uttered....

          | Well, unless they improved it, ZA will allowed
          | hijacked packets out,
          | whereas Outpost won't. And I know before you couldn't assign
          | blocked
          | destinations by IP and/or protocol, in either the free or the
          | paid.
          |
          | Zone Labs rested on its laurels too much, and now there's a
          | better
          | firewall (IMHO).

          | Gee, I have to do the same with Zone Alarm. It too won't let
          | out
          | programs that don't have permission. I can grant permission
          | for just
          | one time or grant permamnt permission which can be changed. I
          | can grant
          | permission for a trusted zone only or for the Internet. Also
          | I can
          | grant permission for the program to act as a server in either
          | zones. The

          | I can't speak for the other two, but I do know with Spybot I
          | had to tell
          | Outpost to let it access to the 'net. That's what so great
          | about
          | Outpost. It won't let programs out that don't have permission
          | as well
          | as not letting them in.
