I'll also add that Win98 cannot handle too much RAM.  Since the laptop is 
aged, this will probably not be a problem.

I tried installing it on this system (2GB of RAM) a while back and was 
greeted with an error message of "There is not enough memory available for 
Windows to run".    2GB is not enough????  Actually, it was SO much that it 
just confuses the OS and it doesn't know what to do with it.  Go figure.
